Welcome to the Clarksdale Marks Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. I am honored and grateful to serve as President of a chapter distinguished by its enduring legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.
Chartered in 1973, the Clarksdale Marks Alumnae Chapter has remained a strong and trusted presence in our community, firmly anchored in the mission and vision of our beloved Sorority. Through the dedicated efforts of our passionate and engaged members, we continue to elevate and empower our community by delivering impactful programs aligned with Delta’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Since its founding, more than 300,000 women have joined the organization. The organization is a sisterhood of predominantly Black, college educated women. The Sorority currently has over 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, Canada, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, the Republic of Korea, the Arabian Gulf, Southern Africa and West Africa.
The major programs of the Sorority are based upon the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement.

The Clarksdale-Marks Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated proudly serves Coahoma, Quitman, Tunica, and Tallahatchie counties in Mississippi. Our chapter is deeply rooted in the Mississippi Delta and is committed to improving the quality of life in the communities we serve.
Through hands-on service, outreach, and collaboration, we work to address local needs, support families, and create opportunities for growth and stability. Our members are educators, health professionals, business leaders, advocates, and community volunteers who bring their skills, time, and passion directly into the communities where they live and serve.
We believe lasting change happens when service is intentional, consistent, and responsive to local voices. Our chapter is committed to being present, engaged, and accountable as we work alongside community members to strengthen our four-county service area.

Our chapter is committed to fostering academic achievement and lifelong learning through youth mentorship, scholarship support, college and career readiness initiatives, and educational enrichment opportunities.
We prioritize health and wellness by supporting initiatives that promote physical health, mental well-being, preventative care, and access to health education for all ages.
